Angela and Kenny’s wedding Gailes Hotel Ayrshire

I have tried to pick a bit of a different selection of images for you from Angela and Kenny’s wedding at the Gailes Hotel in Ayrshire.  I love this black and white differential focus shot of Angela and her dad before the service, we do of course have one with them both in focus!  I know I treasure the photographs of me with my dad on my wedding day. We have photographed lots of weddings at the Gailes Hotel but every-time we go nice and early and Tom has a good look round for anything new, or to see what

Julie and Craig’s wedding Brisbane House Hotel Largs

The weather was really against us at Julie and Craig’s wedding in Largs.  It did not let up all day but the very happy couple did not let it spoil their day.  When it is like this you really need your photographer to know what they are doing and to come up with something even when there is not a lot on offer.  Julie and Craig got married in St Mary’s Church in Largs and the weather was that bad we all had to jump in cars and drive next door to the Brisbane House Hotel for their wedding reception.  The Church was kind enough to

Kenny & Catriona’s Eaglesham Wedding

Having your wedding in Scotland you certainly take a chance with the weather and Kenny and Catriona’s day started off really grey and miserable you would never have believed by the time they came out the church the sun would be splitting the sky.  We do say to couples that come to meet Tom that the weather will not spoil their day and we really believe that.  The temperature is definitely starting to drop though so Catriona had a lovely fur wrap just in case, they make a great couple and were a pleasure to photograph.  They walked from the church to

James & Laura’s Wedding at Airth Castle

We are really lucky in Scotland to have some fantastic Wedding Venues and Airth Castle this years VOWS (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier) Awards winner near Stirling is the one that Laura and James chose to host their wonderful wedding day. The girls started off in matching dressing gowns getting their hair and makeup done at Laura’s shop.  Everyone was really happy and relaxed the weather was great, you would almost think we were abroad.  Laura and the girls were stunning and we really had fun with them all, making it so easy to capture some beautiful, relaxed and natural wedding photographs.

Barbara & James, wedding Kilwinning Abbey and Gailes Hotel

James and the boys arrived in a black and white stretch VW Beetle – it was great.  Barbara looked absolutely stunning when she arrived with her dad in an open top car, both from Waterside Motors.  The weather stayed dry for them all day.  After the service we got some great shots at the clock tower at Kilwinning Abbey and then onto Eglinton Park.  By the time we arrive at the Gailes Hotel there was rain threatening but it never came to anything and we managed to get a big group shot of all the guests before they sat down

Diane & Aidan, James Bond Themed wedding Gailes Hotel

Diane and Aidan had a James Bond Themed wedding at the Gailes Hotel in Ayrshire.  It was so difficult to photograph because they made us laugh so much it was hard to hold the cameras still.  It really was wonderful to part of their day they made us so welcome and what fun we had not just with them but their family and friends too.  Aidan may have regretted having his brothers and son as part of the bridal party when they said “never mind James Bond more like Brooke Bond”!  We really do thank you both for having such

Laura & Scott, Wedding Crutherland House Hotel

Laura and Scott’s wedding took place in Stewarton and the sun shone all day for them.  They left the church in an open top car and headed to their wedding reception at MacDonald Crutherland House Hotel.  The Hotel is set in 37 acres of park and woodland so it was a beautiful setting.  We really enjoyed photographing them, they were great fun to work with and we have some fantastic photographs for them for their album.  Laura’s mum told me she had dinner parties booked for the next few weekends even after they get back from honeymoon so that the celebrations stretched out
