Delyth and Frank’s wedding at the Piersland House Hotel could not have been better, the weather was fantastic, their friends and family had come for all over and after the wedding ceremony in the hotel conservatory everyone could really enjoy the beautiful grounds with a glass of champagne in their hands. It was very relaxed and great fun, we hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.
Laura and Scott’s wedding took place in Stewarton and the sun shone all day for them. They left the church in an open top car and headed to their wedding reception at MacDonald Crutherland House Hotel. The Hotel is set in 37 acres of park and woodland so it was a beautiful setting. We really enjoyed photographing them, they were great fun to work with and we have some fantastic photographs for them for their album. Laura’s mum told me she had dinner parties booked for the next few weekends even after they get back from honeymoon so that the celebrations stretched out
Lorna and Andrew had a beautiful and emotional day with lots of family and friends round to enjoy it. The whole wedding took place at the Gailes Hotel near Irvine and it really was fun from start to finish. We were there nice and early with the girls as they were getting ready and felt like one of the guests by the time they started the first dance. The speeches were heartfelt and they were surrounded by love and support, it was great to be part of it all, so thank you for booking us.
Janis who is originally from West Kilbride and Simon who is from Australia both now live down under. They came back to Janis’s roots for their wedding. The Wedding Ceremony was held in West Kilbride at the Overton Church, Janis walked up the aisle to the pipes and after a really personal and lovely ceremony left to Aboriginal music. They had a black and white camper van from Waterside Wedding Limos who really have some beautiful and very different cars. Valerie, Iain and their gorgeous little girl had a great day at the Gailes Hotel. The Wedding Ceremony and Reception were held at the Gailes, so we knew everything would run smoothly and they would be well looked after. There was lots of children and lots of laughter at the wedding it was lovely. Valerie went for a light blue dress her favourite colour and her sister who was her bridesmaid wore ivory, so a real break with tradition. We stayed right through to the dance and had a great day so thanks for booking us.
I thought I would add some more of the images that helped us win the nine awards this year. The complete wedding category means you take 10 images from one wedding and have to show a range of different images and a high standard of photographic ability. Thanks to Catherine and Ross who got married at Strathclyde University and then had their reception at Airth Castle their beautiful day has now appeared in the Scottish Wedding Directory, Real Life Weddings and has gained us an award of Merit with the Scottish Region Master Photographers Association.
Marlene booked us about two years ago to photograph their wedding and would pop into the studio from time to time, so we were really looking forward to doing a good job for them. She had really put a lot of thought and had been very creative with her stationery, table and flowers, they, like her were absolutely beautiful. Alex who is absolutely terrified of flying braved it and helicoptered in with Duncan his new father in law who runs Skyway Helicopters. His colour soon came back once he had his feet firmly on the ground and Duncan rushed off to get ready to proudly walk Marlene up the Aisle.
Debbie and Craig had their whole wedding ceremony and reception at the Gailes Hotel. We had great fun with the boys and luckily it did stay dry for most of the day but the weather is still just a bit on the cold side. Debbie, her sister and her two little nieces never stopped smiling all day they were a pleasure to work with.
