Fiona & Michael’s Wedding Cameron House Hotel, 15 Jan 09

Fiona and Michael had a wonderful winter wedding on the banks of Loch Lomond at the gorgeous Cameron House, one of Scotland’s finest Luxury Hotels.  Cameron House has recently been refurbished and it may have been grey and wet outside but there was lots of scope for great photographs inside.  Fiona looked fabulous and wore a very elegant dress.  They broke with tradition and for once it was not the girls holding up the ceremony it was the boys!  The day was great fun and very relaxed and we would like to thank them for booking us.

Butterfly Events

Because of our involvement with Ayrshire Supermodel which was organised by Sheena Thomson who is the Senior Advertising Manager for the Ayrshire Post, Kilmarnock Standard and Irvine Herald we met a lovely lady called Lorna Dempsey.  Lorna lost a friend to cancer in 2007, her friend did a lot of work to raise money for Cancer Research and Lorna decided to keep up her good work.  Butterfly Events now raises a lot of money for Cancer Research by running all sort of events including the Butterfly Ball which is being held on the 21st of March this year, it is not too

Sarah & Peter’s Wedding Knockinaam Lodge, Portpatrick, 15 November 08

We set off really early to find the Knockinaam Lodge down a single track road and right on the sea front.  Sarah got ready in the Winston Churchill room where the great man had actually stayed.  We walked in and saw Sarah’s fabulous green dress hanging up and could not wait to see it on.  We met the boys at Kirkmaiden in Drummore which was about a 40 minute drive so everything did need to be planned well and the service took place at 1pm.  After the service we headed to Port Logan one of Peter’s favourite places since he was a

Location Portrait, Lisa, Bruce and Isla

Lisa, Bruce, Isla and Sam had come to us for a family portrait and really wanted a picture in the Autumn leaves, we were so impressed they were prepared to go out no matter the weather and as usual we had lots of it, rain, sun, wind and hailstones.  It really was worth it though they went and walked round the beautiful grounds of the Blair Estate, so got some shelter from the trees.  They dressed for the Scottish weather and I hope you will agree we got some great shots.

Ayrshire Post, Ayrshire Supermodel, Western House Hotel, Ayr

What a wonderful evening we had at the Western House Hotel in Ayr.  The Ayrshire Post, Kilmarnock Standard and Irvine Herald ran a wonderful promotion encouraging anyone over 16 to take part in the 1st Ayrshire Supermodel.  Of the 116 that entered the 20 finalists and their guests, sponsors and of course the judging panel all turned up at the Western House which was beautifully decorated with gorgeous flower displays by Catkins of Ayr, they had also put Halloween lanterns at the entrance to the hotel, which really added to the atmosphere.  The judging panel which included Tom had a very difficult job, but

Kelly & Kevin’s wedding Lodge on Loch Lomond, 8th November 08

Kelly and Kevin were really great fun to work with and a pleasure to photograph.  Kelly arrived at Luss Parish Church in the Mystery Machine driven by no less than Scooby doo himself.  The minister waited outside the church for Kelly to arrive which was a really lovely touch. Kelly had booked John and Jane of Creative Video in Troon who we had not seen for nearly a year but who it is always a pleasure to work with.  The weather held out until they sat down for dinner when the heaven’s really opened.  Whilst it was cold Kelly wanted

Gill & Paul’s wedding, Portland Parish Church, Toon & The Gailes Hotel, 25th October 08

Whilst Gill and Paul had one of the stormiest days this year – what a pleasure it was to be involved in their special day.  Gill was relaxed from the very start and was enjoying every minute. Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Portland Parish Church in Troon, and was a lovely service. Sadly because the weather was so bad we had to do all the photographs in doors, but that did not spoil the fun everyone had.  Gill and Paul’s family and friends had come from all over with a large majority coming from Ireland.  The wedding reception was
