Craig and the boys turned up nice and early for us so we could get some great shots of them before the guests arrived. After the service Craig and Donna went on to there wedding reception at Seamill Hydro Hotel. We really had a great time taking their photographs and we hope they had a great honeymoon.
Wow what a day for a wedding on the Isle of Arran, location, weather and fun, it was all perfect for Susan & John. The wedding ceremony was able to be held outside at the beautiful Kildonan Hotel on the Isle of Arran. The sun stayed out and there was a lovely warm breeze as everyone drank champagne on the lawn or down on the beach. We do seem to have been at a lot of weddings at the Piersland House Hotel so far this year – we do go to other venues, honestly. If anyone was watching the Senior Open which was going on literally across the road from the Hotel you will have seen the terrific weather, it was hard to believe we were in Scotland! We met Lucy and the girls at the Piersland as they were getting ready. They were having their hair and makeup done by Susan and Suzanne, Absolute Treatments who it is always a pleasure to see, Lucy looked absolutely stunning. Their wedding ceremony was at St Meddons Church in Troon and then on for the wedding reception at the Piersland House Hotel. Lucy and Neil live down south and with Scotland’s reputation for weather a friend had given her a ivory umbrella just in case. Alison and Owen had a really gorgeous very personal wedding ceremony in Barrhead Borough Church. We were worried about the drive to the wedding reception at Ross Priory, which is set in 200 acres on the banks of Loch Lomond on a Saturday but luckily the only problem was the coach driver getting lost (not for long) with some of the guests. The day started out grey and a bit cold but it could not have been more perfect, cloud cover and intermittent sunshine, so the champagne flowed and a lovely day was had by all.
Katja and Craig had a wonderful day at two stunning venues. The wedding ceremony took place at St Conan’s Kirk on Loch Awe which we have driven past many times and always meant to stop, but had not gone in until now. It was like something out of the pages of the Da Vinci Code it really is worth a visit. The wedding reception was held at the Ardanaiseig Hotel, a romantic country house set in fabulous surroundings.
