Gillian & Gareth’s Wedding Kilmaurs and Western House Hotel, 29th December 08

Gillian and Gareth actually had sun shine but don’t be fooled it was freezing.  The Wedding Ceremony took place in St Maurs- Glencairn Parish Church in Kilmaurs followed by the Wedding Reception at the Western House Hotel in Ayr.  We went to Gillian’s parents house while they were all getting ready it was great having Mamma Mia the sing along version playing whilst we were there.  Gillian was absolutely stunning and was happy to be outside and with the sun shine it is hard to tell how cold it really was.  We used the low winter sun at the start of the

Heather & Gavin’s Wedding Mar Hall, 12 December 08

Heather and Gavin had the whole Wedding at Mar Hall one of Scotland’s Premier Luxury Hotels.  It was built in 1828 and has some stunning Gothic Architecture.  Heather had asked us to come along while the girls were getting ready and she did not stop grinning from the minute we arrived.  The minister quite rightly said while everyone else was out Christmas shopping Heather and Gavin had got themselves a real bargain that day – he also questioned why you would not get married at this time of year with all the wonderful Christmas decorations and beautifully decorated Christmas trees,

Jen & Martin’s Wedding Dalhousie Castle, 30th November 08

We were so pleased to be asked to photograph Jen and Martin’s Wedding at Dalhousie Castle near Edinburgh. Dalhousie Castle is a 13th Century Fortress which made a fabulous setting for their wedding. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas so lots of colour and real fires burning.  Although it was really freezing outside Jen and Martin braved the elements for 20 minutes to get some stunning photographs outside.  Thanks for booking us it was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with you at such a fabulous location.

Sarah & Peter’s Wedding Knockinaam Lodge, Portpatrick, 15 November 08

We set off really early to find the Knockinaam Lodge down a single track road and right on the sea front.  Sarah got ready in the Winston Churchill room where the great man had actually stayed.  We walked in and saw Sarah’s fabulous green dress hanging up and could not wait to see it on.  We met the boys at Kirkmaiden in Drummore which was about a 40 minute drive so everything did need to be planned well and the service took place at 1pm.  After the service we headed to Port Logan one of Peter’s favourite places since he was a

Kelly & Kevin’s wedding Lodge on Loch Lomond, 8th November 08

Kelly and Kevin were really great fun to work with and a pleasure to photograph.  Kelly arrived at Luss Parish Church in the Mystery Machine driven by no less than Scooby doo himself.  The minister waited outside the church for Kelly to arrive which was a really lovely touch. Kelly had booked John and Jane of Creative Video in Troon who we had not seen for nearly a year but who it is always a pleasure to work with.  The weather held out until they sat down for dinner when the heaven’s really opened.  Whilst it was cold Kelly wanted

Kirsten & Steven, Botanic Gardens & Oran Mor, 10 October 08

Kirsten and Steven got married in the sunshine in Cyprus, we did offer to go there but instead we ended up in tortential rain in Glasgow!  It was the worst rain I have seen for years the streets were flooded, Byres Road was a river.  Luckily Kirsten and Steven had got permission from the Glasgow Botanic Gardens to get photographs taken inside one of the fabulous glass houses.  They were having a family dinner in the absolutely stunning Oran Mor so we were able to go up to the Auditorium and had a bit of fun.  I would like to thank Oran

Gillian & Peter’s wedding, Gailes Hotel, 4 October 08

Gillian and Peter had the whole wedding at the Gailes Hotel.  The wedding ceremony took place upstairs in the conservatory then everyone made their way down for the reception and dance.  Gillian had chosen absolutely stunning flowers, the Gailes were having a wedding fayre the next day and asked Gillian if they could use them for that as they were so lovely.  Unfortunately the weather was not great but that did not spoil the day at all and we did get outside for about 20 minutes which was more than enough to get some fun, wonderful photo’s of them.  Luckily we were

Lisa & Shane’s wedding, Kilwinning & the Gailes Hotel, 27 September 08

Lisa and Shane definitely had a day to remember, starting with the 9 bridesmaids and 2 flower-girls it was like a military operation getting everyone ready but needless to say Lisa kept Shane waiting as she arrived in a horse and carriage more than fashionably late.  The weather was not great but we did get dry spells and got outside when ever we could.  Lisa looked absolutely stunning and had a lovely rich red theme running through the wedding.  The ceremony was at the Kilwinning Abbey and then on to the reception at the Gailes Hotel.   Lisa’s mum surprised them both
