Because of our involvement with Ayrshire Supermodel which was organised by Sheena Thomson who is the Senior Advertising Manager for the Ayrshire Post, Kilmarnock Standard and Irvine Herald we met a lovely lady called Lorna Dempsey. Lorna lost a friend to cancer in 2007, her friend did a lot of work to raise money for Cancer Research and Lorna decided to keep up her good work. Butterfly Events now raises a lot of money for Cancer Research by running all sort of events including the Butterfly Ball which is being held on the 21st of March this year, it is not too late to get tickets.
Before Christmas Lorna asked Nicola who won Ayrshire Supermodel to model a beautiful Cashmere Butterfly Scarf manufactured by Alex Beggs & Co of Ayr. £2 from every scarf sold goes to Cancer Research. We were introduced to Lorna and were very happy to take some photographs of Nicola so Lorna could promote the scarf in all the local papers and on their website http://www.butterfly-events.org/.
