Julie and Craig’s wedding Brisbane House Hotel Largs

The weather was really against us at Julie and Craig’s wedding in Largs.  It did not let up all day but the very happy couple did not let it spoil their day.  When it is like this you really need your photographer to know what they are doing and to come up with something even when there is not a lot on offer.  Julie and Craig got married in St Mary’s Church in Largs and the weather was that bad we all had to jump in cars and drive next door to the Brisbane House Hotel for their wedding reception.  The Church was kind enough to

Gillian and Iain’s wedding Balbirnie House Hotel

Gillian and Iain chose to have their wedding at Balbirnie House Hotel because of its great location.  Balbirnie is a stunning Grade A listed Georgian country manor house dating back to 1777.  Gillian and the girls were already in their beautiful four poster bedroom while the boys turned up with the roof down on the car and the Porclaimers “Lets get Married” playing.  Although the ground was wet the weather stayed dry and there were so many photo opportunities if only we had more time!  We stayed through to the dance and Gillian and Iain went outside after dinner for ten

Emma & Joe, Wedding Strathclyde University and Western House Hotel, Ayr

Emma and Joe’s wedding ceremony took place in Strathclyde University Chapel, such an impressive building and fantastic for photographs no matter the weather.  By the time we arrived at the Western House Hotel in Ayr we had taken most of the photographs, which it turned out was a good job.  The car left us at the University Cloisters and drove off with Emma and Joe, we set off expecting to overtake them.  After a while we thought the car must have been faster than it looked but the car had set off down the road to leave the University and at

Laura & Scott, Wedding Crutherland House Hotel

Laura and Scott’s wedding took place in Stewarton and the sun shone all day for them.  They left the church in an open top car and headed to their wedding reception at MacDonald Crutherland House Hotel.  The Hotel is set in 37 acres of park and woodland so it was a beautiful setting.  We really enjoyed photographing them, they were great fun to work with and we have some fantastic photographs for them for their album.  Laura’s mum told me she had dinner parties booked for the next few weekends even after they get back from honeymoon so that the celebrations stretched out

Lorna & Andrew, Wedding Ayrshire Gailes Hotel

Lorna and Andrew had a beautiful and emotional day with lots of family and friends round to enjoy it.  The whole wedding took place at the Gailes Hotel near Irvine and it really was fun from start to finish.  We were there nice and early with the girls as they were getting ready and felt like one of the guests by the time they started the first dance.  The speeches were heartfelt and they were surrounded by love and support, it was great to be part of it all, so thank you for booking us.

Heather & Gavin’s Wedding Mar Hall, 12 December 08

Heather and Gavin had the whole Wedding at Mar Hall one of Scotland’s Premier Luxury Hotels.  It was built in 1828 and has some stunning Gothic Architecture.  Heather had asked us to come along while the girls were getting ready and she did not stop grinning from the minute we arrived.  The minister quite rightly said while everyone else was out Christmas shopping Heather and Gavin had got themselves a real bargain that day – he also questioned why you would not get married at this time of year with all the wonderful Christmas decorations and beautifully decorated Christmas trees,

Kirsten & Steven, Botanic Gardens & Oran Mor, 10 October 08

Kirsten and Steven got married in the sunshine in Cyprus, we did offer to go there but instead we ended up in tortential rain in Glasgow!  It was the worst rain I have seen for years the streets were flooded, Byres Road was a river.  Luckily Kirsten and Steven had got permission from the Glasgow Botanic Gardens to get photographs taken inside one of the fabulous glass houses.  They were having a family dinner in the absolutely stunning Oran Mor so we were able to go up to the Auditorium and had a bit of fun.  I would like to thank Oran
