In between Weddings and Portraits we photographed some Whisky in May.  I know most people think of Scotland for Whisky but this has been distilled in India and we did these photographs to let Lynart Design who are a local design company put together promotional materials for the launch in Europe.

Shirley and Raymond really were the lucky couple when they won their wedding on the competition ran by West FM Radio.  Raymond said it was really exciting as they drove to Lochside House Hotel  people were ringing in the radio station to say they had spotted them. It is always such a pleasure to go to Lochside, and this added to the glorious sunny day made sure that their prize really was a dream come true.

Elaine & Iain’s wedding, St Pallidus Church & Drumtochty Castle, 10th May 2008

What a glorious day Elaine and Iain had probably the warmest day of the year so far and what a setting for a wedding.  St Pallidus Church was built by John Smith in 1829 and I had to include a picture of this beautiful building. After the ceremony we went back to Drumtochty Castle  and thanks to the wonderful weather Elaine and Iain had live music outside and pink champagne.  It was great to see some familiar faces, to meet some real characters and have such fun.   For those who have not yet been lucky enough to visit such a Fairytale castle

Alloway Parish Church & Brig’o’doon House Hotel Wedding

Lindsay & Steven’s Wedding Brig ‘O’ Doon, Alloway Lindsay who used to play football for the Scottish ladies team had to tackle the traffic to get to the church, there was a huge traffic jam that morning on the Ayr by-pass.  They had a glorious sunny day so after their wedding service in the really pretty Alloway Parish Church they walked lead by Billy on the bagpipes to Brig’o’doon House Hotel.  We were able to use the fantastic landscaped grounds of the Hotel for the photographs but did of course also walk to the Brig.  .
